1. General Provisions

These Terms of Use (the “Terms”) govern the relationship between CAIROS (referred to as “CAIROS” or “we”) and users of the cairos.cz website and the Mendel platform (referred to as “you” or “user”).

By accessing the website or registering an account, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the website or the platform.

2. Description of Services

2.1 Website cairos.cz

An informational website presenting CAIROS, its products, research and news. The website includes a waitlist for registration of prospective users of the Mendel platform.

2.2 Mendel Platform

An AI platform providing access to verified Czech information in the areas of law, finance and real estate. At the time these Terms take effect, the platform is under development. The precise scope of features will be specified before launch.

2.3 Waitlist

Registration of an email address for the purpose of receiving notification when the Mendel platform launches. Waitlist registration does not create any contractual entitlement to access the platform.

3. Registration and User Account

3.1 Eligibility

The platform may be used by persons aged 16 and over. By using the platform, you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3.2 Accuracy of Information

You provide truthful and current information upon registration. You are responsible for the accuracy of your registration data.

3.3 Account Security

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. Notify us immediately of any suspected unauthorized access to your account at hello@cairos.cz.

4. Waitlist

By registering for the waitlist, you agree to:

  • Receiving information about the Mendel platform launch at the email address you provide
  • Receiving product development updates, where you have given this consent
  • Processing of your email address in accordance with the Privacy Policy

You may withdraw your waitlist registration at any time by unsubscribing via the link in any email or by sending a request to privacy@cairos.cz.

5. Rules of Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use the platform and website only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not harm other users or CAIROS.

5.2 Prohibited Conduct

The following is prohibited:

  • Any conduct that disrupts or damages the functionality of the website or platform
  • Attempts to gain unauthorized access to systems, data or accounts of other users
  • Automated content extraction (scraping) without prior written consent
  • Publishing or transmitting harmful code, malware or spyware
  • Impersonating another person or entity
  • Circumventing technical restrictions or security features of the platform
  • Commercial use of platform outputs in a manner that violates these Terms or applicable law
  • Any conduct that could damage the reputation of CAIROS

5.3 User-Submitted Content

Where you submit any content to the platform (queries, documents, text), you represent that:

  • You have the right to share this content
  • The content does not infringe the rights of third parties
  • The content does not include personal data of third parties without their consent, except where strictly necessary to answer your query

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 CAIROS Ownership

All content on cairos.cz and the Mendel platform, including texts, graphics, logos, software, databases and algorithms, is owned by CAIROS or CAIROS is otherwise authorized to use it. It is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Limited License

CAIROS grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access and use the platform for your personal or professional needs in accordance with these Terms.

6.3 Platform-Generated Content

Outputs from the Mendel platform are provided as an informational resource only. They do not constitute legal, financial or other professional advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making any specific decision.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

7.1 Informational Nature of Outputs

The Mendel platform provides information based on publicly available data. Platform outputs:

  • Do not constitute legal advice within the meaning of Act No. 85/1996 Coll., on the Legal Profession
  • Do not constitute financial advice within the meaning of applicable regulations
  • Do not represent a binding interpretation of legal provisions
  • May contain inaccuracies or be out of date

7.2 Service Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website or platform. We reserve the right to perform maintenance, updates or temporarily restrict access without prior notice.

7.3 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CAIROS is not liable for:

  • Indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from use or inability to use our services
  • Decisions made based on platform outputs
  • Loss of data
  • Damages arising from unauthorized access to your account where you have properly secured your credentials

8. Subscriptions and Payments

The Mendel platform will be available in free and paid tiers after launch. Specific pricing terms will be published at cairos.cz/pricing before launch.

Payments are processed through a certified payment service provider. CAIROS does not have access to full payment card numbers.

Detailed subscription terms, including refund policies, will form part of an update to these Terms upon the launch of paid features.

9. Termination of Access

9.1 Termination by the User

You may delete your account at any time by sending a request to hello@cairos.cz. After account deletion, we will delete your personal data in accordance with the Privacy Policy.

9.2 Termination by CAIROS

We reserve the right to restrict or terminate your access to the platform without prior notice if:

  • You breach these Terms
  • Your conduct harms other users or CAIROS
  • Required by law

10. Changes to the Terms

We may update these Terms. We will notify you of material changes by email or by notice on the website at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the services after the changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These Terms are governed by the law of the Czech Republic. Czech courts have jurisdiction over any disputes.

Consumers have the right to out-of-court dispute resolution through the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (coi.cz) or through the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.

12. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is or becomes invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force.

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and CAIROS regarding your use of our services.
